Riley Bove, MD, MSc

Dr. Riley Bove is Associate Professor of Neurology at UCSF. She is Director of Digital Innovation in the UCSF MS Group, and Founding Co-Director of the UCSF Global Teleneurology Service. She obtained her BA in anthropology from Harvard College and her MD and MMSc degrees from Harvard University. She completed her internship, residency and neuroimmunology fellowship at MassGeneral Brigham. Her research on sex- and gender-informed neurology and digital health has been funded by the NIH, National MS Society, California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine, Hilton Foundation, and industry. From early Fulbright work on the social determinants of women and children’s health in West Africa, to her current clinical research on caring for MS during pregnancy and the menopausal transition, her work has focused on research gaps in women’s health and promoting sex- and gender- informed neurology.
