Isha Srivastava, MD, PhD
Isha Srivastava, MD, PhD is an Instructor in Neurology at Stanford University, with a special interest in pediatric leukodystrophies. She received her B.S. from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied cellular and molecular biology and psychology. and then completed her MD/PhD from Temple University. Her graduate thesis work in Dr. Peter Crino’s lab investigated the role of mTOR signaling pathway in a preclinical mouse model of cerebral palsy. She subsequently completed a residency in Child Neurology at Stanford. During residency, she investigated the NLRP3 inflammasome expression in cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy (cALD) in Dr. Van Haren’s lab at Stanford. Her current research interest is to evaluate the interplay of lipid metabolism, cell death and neuroinflammation in cALD and other peroxisomal disorders.
