Hisham Abdelmotilib, MD, PhD

Dr. Hisham Abdelmotilib completed his medical school in Egypt. He joined a PhD neuroscience program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with research focus on neuroinflammatory mechanisms in Parkinson disease. In 2018, he started his neurology residency at the University of Iowa. Currently, he is an epilepsy fellow at UTHealth, Houston, and will join another fellowship in advanced and autoimmune neurology at MGH in 2023. He is interested in autoimmune neurology with a focus on autoimmune epilepsy. His post fellowship plan is to join an academic center with an emphasis on medical students and residents education.
