Dr. Cydni Williams is a pediatric intensivist specializing in pediatric neurocritical care, including traumatic and acquired brain injuries. She is focused on ensuring recovery after the ICU, and directs the Pediatric Critical Care and Neurotrauma Recovery Program. She has expertise in patient outcomes including physical, cognitive, emotional, and social morbidities, collectively termed Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS). She provides clinical care in both the pediatric ICU and longitudinal outpatient recovery clinic. Her research focus is identifying modifiable risk factors for PICS morbidities and early interventions to improve PICS outcomes. She is currently investigating how sleep disturbances impact recovery across PICS domains.
